Discovering Humpback Whales

Spend a day aboard comfortable sailing catamarans discovering the "giants of the seas", departing from Nouméa.

Day Schedule:

• 6:45 AM – Meet at Pontoon A, Marina Port Moselle – Boarding
• 7:00 AM – Catamaran departure. Please make sure not to be late or go to the wrong port/marina.
• 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM – Return to dock

Every year during the Austral winter, the southern New Caledonian lagoon serves as a refuge for these majestic marine mammals. From mid-July to mid-September, they come to breed and give birth in the lagoon. Join us to meet these "Giants of the Seas" through an ecotourism experience (searching for the animals by sail). A unique opportunity to learn more about these mammals, in compliance with environmental regulations.

It is an absolutely unpredictable, breathtaking encounter where nature decides what it wants to show us.

Drawing on our experience, our teams guide you every step of the way — from booking to observation — in a safe, pleasant, and friendly setting.

Departing Nouméa at 7:00 AM, board one of our vessels from 6:45 AM, enjoy the comfort on offer, savour your morning coffee as you head out to sea, and keep your eyes wide open to help the crew spot them.

Carried by the trade winds and comfortably settled in, let yourself be guided by the crew, who will share the knowledge they have gained over several observation seasons in collaboration with scientists. Enjoy the moment — the experience is unforgettable.
